Our Area Management Groups (AMG) in the Visayas, are also actively participating in environmental efforts! Recently, Samar West AMG joined a bamboo tree planting event in Paranas, Samar. On September 17, 2024, together with various local partners, the Palawan Group celebrated Bamboo Day in Brgy. Tenani, Paranas, Samar, as part of the World Bamboo Day celebration held every September 18. This activity is also part of our 1 Million Trees Project.

With the help of CENRO (City Environment and Natural Resources Office), we planted 1,000 bamboo seedlings to support the Philippine Bamboo Industry, in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 1401, which declares September as Bamboo Month every year.

Why is this important? We are not just planting bamboo for today but for the future. This project brings many environmental benefits—it produces oxygen, improves air quality, supports wildlife, and helps prevent flooding and soil erosion.

We were joined by our partners from the PNP, BFP, CENRO, and barangay officials in this meaningful project. Our goal is not only to help the environment but also to benefit future generations of Filipinos.

The Palawan Group remains committed to promoting projects that aim to provide a greener and safer future for our communities. Together, let’s plant the seeds for a better tomorrow!
